The safety and well-being of every athlete is our number one priority. Thus, our health staff and medical resources are a cut above other soccer camps.

HEALTH CENTER

The new Health & Wellness Center is fully stocked with all the necessary tools and materials to ensure that we meet the needs of our campers. The building includes a nurse’s examination room, a separate athletic training room, a full kitchen, and an ADA compliant bathroom. There is also a comfortable “quarantine room” for girls who need to spend time away from the other campers, either for a few hours or overnight.

HEALTH STAFF

The Health Center houses our staff of qualified medical professionals. We have a Registered Nurse as well as an Assistant Nurse, a certified Athletic Trainer, a visiting Physical Therapist, and an on-call Physician.

Before each session, our Head Nurse reviews every athlete’s health history and medication needs. We store all personal medication in our Health Center, allowing our nurses to properly distribute it to both athletes and staff at meal-times or bedtime. Our nurses live on-site and are available 24 hours a day.

Our full-time certified Athletic Trainer is on the field during every soccer session; and provides pre and post training treatments in the Training Room. Athletes can get taped or ice injuries under the supervision of an expert.

We also engage a visiting Physical Therapist who teaches our athletes proper warm-up , bio-mechanic and injury prevention techniques. It is important to teach our athletes how to care for their bodies so they can stay healthy and keep playing.

Parents are typically contacted if our medical staff has any questions, if a camper spends the night in the Health Center, or if a serious injury has occurred. In the event of a serious illness or injury, our on-call Physician is available seven days a week.
