The Academy’s Health & Wellness Center is fully stocked with all the necessary tools and materials to ensure that we meet the needs of our campers. The building includes a nurse’s examination room, and a comfortable “quarantine room” for girls who need to spend time away from the other campers, either for a few hours or overnight.
Our staff of qualified medical professionals includes a Registered Nurse as well as an Assistant Nurse, a certified Athletic Trainer, a visiting Physical Therapist, and an on-call Physician.
Before each session, our Head Nurse reviews every athlete’s health history and medication needs. We store all personal medication in our Health Center, allowing our nurses to properly distribute it to both athletes and staff at meal-times or bedtime.
Our full-time certified Athletic Trainer is on the field during every soccer session; and provides pre and post training treatments in the Training Room, located at the center of fields in the Pavilion. Athletes can get taped or ice injuries under the supervision of an expert.
Our nurses and athletic trainer all live on-site and are available 24-hours a day.
We provide healthy food options that give our growing athletes the energy and nutrition they need to compete at the highest level. Athletes and staff enjoy mealtimes in our beautiful lakeside Dining Hall, or outside in the surrounding picnic area. We offer a well-balanced menu of camp favorites that include tasty, protein-based entrees accompanied by a variety of side dishes.
We serve wholesome, all-natural products. Breakfast features hot buffet choices and a changing selection of fruits, and whole grain cereals and breads. Lunch and dinner always include both salad and pasta options. We also offer a substantial evening snack that includes access to salad and sandwich bars, hummus, pita bread, and more.
Healthy snacks like fresh fruits and vegetables, granola bars, and iced treats are provided throughout the day; as are occasional indulgences, like ice cream, homemade desserts, and s’mores at the campfire, of course!
