What Do Head Coaches Do?
This year’s Head Coaches are all returning staff members. Head Coaches spend their entire summer at Berky, lead fixtures like the BSA Tournament and Private Training, and work with one training group each week. Additionally, the head coaches can be found at the center of the fun during a meal, special event, or bridge trip.
Arshia “AJ” Jain
2019 will be AJ’s fourth summer at BSA and her second as a Head Coach. She hails all the way from Doha, Qatar. She has played professionally in Qatar and on her university team in the United Kingdom. AJ’s passion for the game of soccer is infectious. AJ currently works at the Collège du Léman in Versoix, Switzerland, where she coaches girls high school and club soccer.
Maggie Bodington
Maggie graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in May 2018 with a BA in Elementary Education. She played college soccer and lacrosse. Maggie is returning to BSA for her fourth summer and her second as a Head Coach.
Kate Ross
Kate, a 2018 graduate of Cambridge University (England) will be returning for her third summer at BSA and her first as a Head Coach. At Cambridge, she played on her university soccer team. She also has extensive refereeing experience. Kate is currently studying for her Master’s at Manchester University.
Hannah Matlack
Hannah graduated from Dickinson College in 2018, where she played 4 years of Varsity Soccer. Originally from Needham, MA, Hannah currently works at the New Hampton School in New Hampton, New Hampshire where she teaches French and is the Varsity Soccer Coach. This will be Hannah’s second year at BSA and her first as a Head Coach.
Isabella Zanzini
Isa, who hails from Sao Paulo, Brazil, joined BSA for the first time as an Assistant Soccer Coach in 2018, after graduating from Hannibal-Lagrange University in Missouri with a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. She spent two seasons as a student Assistant Coach at Hannibal-Lagrange. Isa will return to BSA for her second summer and her first as a Head Coach in 2019.
