Sunday: Soccer Camp Arrival

Despite some rain in the morning, arrival day was very smooth! Session III runs from July 2-6. Campers enjoyed meeting their new friends and counselors on the rec deck after arrival.

Opening Campfire

Campers has a great first soccer training session with their coaches. After dinner, it was time for the opening campfire. The staff shared a variety of skits and songs at the Opening Campfire. The goal of the night is to relax the campers and show them that Berky is a safe place to develop on and off the field. Later in the week, the girls will share their own contributions as a cabin at the “Red White and Blue” themed Closing Campfire.

Monday: Starting Soccer Training and Electives

The girls trained hard up at the fields before it was time to switch gears to have fun at electives. The girls did some fire building, fishing, and more in the morning.

Cabin Cup

Once afternoon soccer and electives finished, it was time for campers to come together as bunk mates to compete for the one and only…Cabin Cup (ahhhh!). Campers participated in a photo scavenger hunt around camp. Be sure to check out our pictures of all the fun using the SmugMug link below.

Tuesday: Player Development at Berky

Campers had a great start to the Fourth Of July. Athletes trained hard up at the fields in the morning, before it was time to cool off in the lake, and participate in other electives.

Berky Tourney

After learning some more skills up at the fields and having fun at electives, it was time for the Berky Tourney after dinner. This week’s theme was “Fruit Cup”. After the Tourney, the girls celebrated the Holiday with sparklers. Check out the smugmug link below to see photos of the action!

Wednesday: Girls Soccer Training and (S’)more

Campers started their morning in the lake, fishing, and doing some arts and crafts before it was time to switch gears and head up to the fields to learn some valuable skills from their coaches.

Closing Campfire

Once afternoon soccer and electives were over, it was time for the “Red White and Blue” themed closing campfire. Campers and staff alike were treated to skits, songs, and plenty of laughs… And s’mores were on the menu too! Delish!

Thursday: Final Training Sessions & Electives

What a great week it has been! To start out the morning, each cabin met at the Moose for pictures. It was a hot day, but campers enjoyed cooling off in the lake as well as the last of their morning electives and soccer session.
