Sunday: Soccer Camp Arrival
Thank you to the arriving families for a smooth drop-off and start of Session VI. We are so excited for a great week!
The girls were eager to get started on the fields this afternoon. After a great first training session, they had the Opening Campfire to look forward to in the evening. The staff shared a variety of skits, songs and games at the opening campfire. The goal of the night is to relax the campers and show them that Berky is a safe place to develop on and off the field. Later in the week, the girls will share their own contributions as a cabin to the closing campfire.
Monday: Starting Soccer Training and Electives
Players spent the morning on the soccer fields learning new skills from our coaches. Afterwards, they enjoyed downtime at their electives.
To accommodate the weather, the girls spent their afternoon training at indoor facilities nearby. In the evening, campers came together as bunk mates to compete for the one and only…Cabin Cup (ahhhh!) in Berky’s Dutch Auction. Be sure to check out our pictures of all the craziness and fun that ensued.
Tuesday: Player Development at Berky
This morning, the girls took to the indoor facility to get in some technical footwork using our new futsal equipment. The rain won’t get in the way of us playing!
The weather cleared up just in time for the Berky Tourney. The campers gathered at the fields in the evening and came together to compete in this week’s “Champion’s League” themed Berky Tournament. Check out photos of the teams and festivities using the link below!
Wednesday: Girls Soccer Training and (S’)more
Campers spent the morning on the soccer fields for another high energy training session. Afterwards, the girls were off to electives.
Campers stepped on stage and performed together at tonight’s “Movie Magic” themed closing campfire. Campers and staff alike were treated to skits, songs, and plenty of laughs… And s’mores were on the menu too! Delish!
Thursday: Final Training Sessions & Electives
What an amazing week! Goodbyes are hard, but we hope to see all of our campers again soon. Each cabin and the whole camp met at the moose for pictures. Use the SmugMug link below to browse the group photos we have available.
Soccer Camp Departure
After a fun-filled week, Session VI has drawn to a close. The campers enjoyed their last training session of the week with their coaches. They were able to squeeze in a little more time at their favorite electives too.
Campers spent their Bridge trip on a ziplining canopy tour. Bridges are designed to connect sessions and give athletes recovery time after or between sessions to optimize peak performance, avoid overexertion, and bond with other campers.
Would you like to offer your camper an extended stay? The Bridge Program includes an off-site ziplining trip and a relaxed day at camp to have fun with new friends. More than 10 spots currently remain in Bridge F. You may add a Bridge on Arrival Day or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org as late as Wednesday, provided there is still availability.
