Sunday: Soccer Camp Arrival

Thank you to the arriving families for a smooth drop-off and start of Session VII. We are very excited for the week ahead!

Opening Campfire

The girls were eager to get started on the fields this afternoon. After a great first training session and time spent at electives, they had the opening campfire to look forward to in the evening. The staff shared a variety of skits, songs and games at the opening campfire. The goal of the night is to relax the campers and show them that Berky is a safe place to develop on and off the field. Later in the week, the girls will share their own contributions as a cabin to the closing campfire.

Monday: Starting Soccer Training and Electives

Players spent the morning on the soccer fields. Working in positional-specific groups, they learning new skills from our coaches. During elective time, they got to chill out and hone other new skills, including cooking and paddle-boarding!

Cabin Cup

Campers had a blast at their electives and at their afternoon training session before coming together as bunkmates to compete for the one and only…Cabin Cup. (Ahhhh!)

Tuesday: Player Development at Berky

The morning saw the girls at soccer training before enjoying their elective. Today’s mental skill, Care, was emphasized as campers worked on turning and receiving.

Berky Tourney

Wednesday: Girls Soccer Training and (S’)more

Campers spent the morning on the soccer fields for another high energy training session. Afterwards, the girls were off to electives. Some chose to chill out on the rec deck and others cooled off at the lake with our fun, new inflatables.

Closing Campfire

Campers stepped on stage and performed together at tonight’s movie magic themed closing campfire. Campers and staff alike were treated to skits, songs, and plenty of laughs… And s’mores were on the menu too! Delish!

Thursday: Final Training Sessions & Electives

Soccer Camp Departure

After a fun-filled week, Session VII has drawn to a close. The campers enjoyed their last training session of the week with their coaches. They were able to squeeze in a little more time at their favorite electives too. Goodbyes are hard, but we hope to see everyone again soon!

Bridge G

Campers enjoyed their Bridge trip to Lake Compounce Amusement Park in Bristol, CT. Fun fact: Lake Compounce, which opened in 1846, is the oldest continuously operating amusement park in the United States. (Oooh – Ahhh!)
