Sunday: Soccer Camp Arrival
Thank you families for making arrival day a smooth one! Session III runs from July 4th-8th. We are excited for a great week ahead!
The girls spent the afternoon at their first training session of the week. Later in the evening, it was time for our Fourth of July opening campfire. Staff shared a variety of skits, songs, and games at the Opening Campfire. The goal of the night is to relax the campers and show them that Berky is a safe place to develop on and off the field. Later in the week, the girls will share their own contributions as a cabin at the ‘Red, White, and Blue’ themed Closing Campfire.
Monday: Starting Soccer Training and Electives
It was a beautiful morning and the girls spent their time at the fields training with our coaches before they were off to enjoy their electives.
Campers had a blast at their electives and at their afternoon training session before coming together as bunkmates to compete for the one and only…Cabin Cup. (Ahhhh!🙌) This weeks theme was Angry Birds. Use the link below to check out the craziness and fun!
Tuesday: Player Development at Berky
The girls enjoyed another beautiful day at Berky working on their skills at soccer training before heading to Electives.
The girls were able to squeeze in half our Olympic themed Berky Tourney before the rain began to fall. We ended the evening with some Berky Bingo, Bracelet Making, and a Movie.
Wednesday: Girls Soccer Training and (S’)more
Campers were able to finish the Berky Tourney before they were joined by two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champion and two-time gold and one silver medal-winning Olympian Kristine Lilly who is also a part of TeamFirst Soccer Academy. She spent the day with the girls coaching them on the field and then had a Q&A and PhotoBooth session.
The girls were coached on the fields by Kristine Lilly in the afternoon. Soon after dinner was the Closing Campfire. Campers and staff alike were treated to skits, songs, and plenty of laughs… And s’mores were on the menu too! Delish!
Thursday: Final Training Sessions & Electives
After a fun-filled week, Session III has drawn to a close. The campers enjoyed their last training sessions of the week with their coaches at a nearby facility due to weather.
Soccer Camp Departure
The week has finally drawn to a close. We’re sad to say goodbye, but we hope to see all of our campers again soon!
The girls had a great time during the bridge playing indoor arcade games, gaga, tie-dying, and more! They also had the opportunity to enjoy some more electives over the weekend.
Bridges are designed to connect sessions and give athletes recovery time after or between sessions to optimize peak performance, avoid overexertion, and bond with other campers. Read more about the development of our bridge program and how it’s helping future athletes succeed.
Would you like to offer your camper an extended stay? The Bridge Program includes Fun Games including Soccer Darts, Pool, Foosball, and a relaxed day at camp to have fun with new friends. More than 10 spots currently remain in Bridge C. You may add a Bridge on Arrival Day or by emailing email@example.com as late as Wednesday, provided there is still availability.
