Sunday: Soccer Camp Arrival
Thank you families for making arrival day a smooth one. We are excited for the week ahead!
After Arrival, the girls hit the fields for their first training session of the week. Later in the evening, it was time for our opening campfire which we held in the playhouse due to the weather. Staff shared a variety of skits and songs. The goal of the night is to relax the campers and show them that Berky is a safe place to develop on and off the field. Later in the week, the girls will share their own contributions as a cabin at the ‘Tailgate Party’ themed Closing Campfire.
Monday: Starting Soccer Training and Electives
The girls had a fantastic time Monday morning participating in the many different electives we offer before they headed to the fields for their first training session of the day.
The weather was not cooperative and, thankfully, we secured indoor training facilities for the girls. Later that evening, Campers came together as bunkmates to race around camp for the one and only…Cabin Cup (ahhhh! 🙌) . This week’s theme was Amazing Race and the girls worked together to complete various tasks.
Tuesday: Berky Tourney
Our schedule was switched around again due to weather, but the girls still had the chance Tuesday morning to participate in this week’s ‘Burrito Bowl’ themed Berky Tourney. Check out the pictures of the girls in action!
Player Development at Berky
Due to the schedule changes, the girls had the opportunity in the evening to participate in the many electives we offer.
Wednesday: Girls Soccer Training and (S’)more
The girls had another successful training session on the fields Wednesday Morning.
After a day full of electives and soccer, it was time for the closing campfire. Campers and staff alike were treated to skits, songs, and plenty of laughs… And s’mores were on the menu too! Delish!
Thursday: Final Training Sessions & Electives
Session IV has drawn to a close. The campers enjoyed their last electives and soccer training session to close out a fun-filled week.
Soccer Camp Departure
The week has finally drawn to a close. We’re sad to say goodbye, but we hope to see all of our campers again soon!
The girls had a great time during the bridge enjoying some more electives, a hike, a scavenger hunt, and extended rest time over the weekend.
Bridges are designed to connect sessions and give athletes recovery time after or between sessions to optimize peak performance, avoid overexertion, and bond with other campers. Read more about the development of our bridge program and how it’s helping future athletes succeed.
Would you like to offer your camper an extended stay? The Bridge Program includes Laser Tag, in-camp activities, and a relaxed day at camp to have fun with new friends. More than 10 spots currently remain in Bridge D. You may add a Bridge on Arrival Day or by emailing email@example.com as late as Wednesday, provided there is still availability.
