Sunday: Soccer Camp Arrival

Thank you families for making Arrival Day a smooth one! Session VI runs from July 24-28, and we are excited for a great week!

Opening Campfire

Campers had their first soccer training session of the week, and had a fantastic time! Next, it was time to cool off on the rec deck and the waterfront to beat the heat. Later in the evening, it was time for the Opening Campfire where staff had the chance to step up on stage and perform for campers. The goal of the night is to relax the campers and show them that Berky is a safe place to develop on and off the field. By the end of the session, campers will be asked to share their own contributions as a cabin at this week’s “Berky Bonfire & Tailgate Party” themed Closing Campfire.

Monday: Starting Soccer Training and Electives

Campers had a fantastic training session learning valuable skills on the field from our coaches. Mid-morning, the weather turned sour so campers participated in some rainy-day electives.

Cabin Cup

Thankfully, the weather turned around for another training session with our coaches before it was time for more electives. Later in the evening, it was time for campers to come together as bunk mates to compete for the one and only…Cabin Cup (ahhhh!). Campers participated in Berky Swap, which is a buy/sell trading card themed game. Be sure to check out our pictures of all the fun using the SmugMug link below.

Tuesday: Player Development at Berky

Campers spent the morning on the soccer fields for another high energy training session. Afterwards, the girls were off to electives.

Berky Tourney

The campers gathered at the fields in the evening and came together to compete in this week’s “Disney Shootout” themed Berky Tourney. Check out photos of the teams and festivities using the link below!

Wednesday: Girls Soccer Training and (S’)more

Campers spent their morning up at the fields training before it was time to switch gears and participate in electives. Campers enjoyed fishing, arts and crafts, archery, and hanging out on the rec deck.

Closing Campfire

After soccer and electives, it was time for campers to step on stage and perform together at tonight’s “Berky Bonfire: Tailgate Party” themed Closing Campfire. Campers and staff alike were treated to skits, songs, and plenty of laughs… And s’mores were on the menu too! Delish!

Thursday: Final Training Sessions & Electives

What an amazing week! Each cabin met at the moose for pictures in the morning before it was time for soccer and electives. Use the SmugMug link below to browse the group photos.

Soccer Camp Departure

Campers had a great time at their final soccer session of the week before it was time to say goodbye. We hope to see all of our campers again soon!

Bridge F

On Friday, Bridge campers went on a Bridge Trip to RambleWild which is a high ropes adventure course. Saturday was a relaxed day at camp including extended waterfront time and electives. Bridges are designed to connect sessions and give athletes recovery time after or between sessions to optimize peak performance, avoid overexertion, and bond with other campers. Read more about the development of our bridge program and how it’s helping future athletes succeed.
