Sunday: Soccer Camp Arrival

Thank you families for making Session IV arrival a smooth one. Campers enjoyed some fun games (fun games) on the rec deck and meeting their counselors and cabinmates this morning.

Opening Campfire

It was a rainy afternoon, but that didn’t stop soccer or electives! Campers were able to train at our new covered turf field before switching gears to participate in some rainy day electives. Due to weather, opening campfire had to be moved indoors but that didn’t stop the fun. Staff shared skits and songs to relax players and show them that Berky is a safe place to develop both on and off the field. Later in the week, the girls will share their own contributions as a cabin at the ‘Gold Rush’ themed Closing Campfire.

Monday: Starting Soccer Training and Electives

It was a rainy Monday morning, but athletes still had a great training session at the fields before switching gears to participate in some rainy-day morning electives.

Cabin Cup

The weather finally cleared up enough for the girls to be able to jump in the lake and participate in other electives after learning valuable skills from our coaches up at the fields. Later in the evening, it was time for the girls to come together with their cabins and compete for the Cabin Cup (ahhhh! 🙌) . This week’s theme was “Survivor” Check out all the pictures using the SmugMug link below!

Tuesday: Player Development at Berky

It was another great day at Berky! Players had the opportunity to showcase new skills on the field before switching gears to enjoy some electives in the beautiful weather.

 Berky Tourney

One afternoon soccer and electives, it was time for athletes to compete in the Berky Tourney. This week’s theme was “Superhereos.” Check out the great action pics using the SmugMug link below.

Wednesday: Girls Soccer Training and (S’)more

Campers started off the day at electives before it was time to transition up to the fields for another great soccer training session.

Closing Campfire

After soccer and electives, it was time for campers to step on stage and perform together at tonight’s “Gold Rush” themed Closing Campfire. We had to start with Res Life Groups Courage, Dash, and Spirit in the playhouse due to lightning in the area. Soon, the weather cleared up and we were able to all come together at the campfire pit as a whole camp. Campers and staff alike were treated to skits, songs, and plenty of laughs… And s’mores were on the menu too! Delish!

Thursday: Final Training Sessions & Electives

Campers enjoyed the last of their morning electives and soccer training sessions of the week with their coaches and counselors. Each Cabin also had the chance to join at the Moose for an all-cabin photo.

Soccer Camp Departure

Campers had one more chance to participate in electives before finishing off the week with a great training session up at the fields before it was time to depart. Thank you everyone for making Session IV so incredible – we hope to see you next summer!

Bridge D

Campers spent Friday on a white water rafting trip for Bridge D. Saturday was spent in camp where we brought in a carnival and had some fun tubing on the lake. Bridges are designed to connect sessions and give athletes recovery time after or between sessions to optimize peak performance, avoid overexertion, and bond with other campers. Read more about the development of our bridge program and how it’s helping future athletes succeed.

Would you like to offer your camper an extended stay? The Bridge Program includes White Water Rafting, sleep-in mornings, and a relaxed day at camp to have fun with new friends. You may add a Bridge on Arrival Day or by emailing office@berkshiresocceracademy.com as late as Wednesday, provided there is still availability.
