Sunday: Soccer Camp Arrival

Thank you families for making arrival day a smooth one. Session VII runs from July 30-August 3. We are excited for a fun and competitive week!

Opening Campfire

Athletes had a great first soccer session and switched gears to have some fun trying out different electives. After dinner, everyone was in for a treat! We had Hypnotist Brad Henderson come to entertain the whole camp and hypnotize some of our lucky staff members at opening campfire. The goal of the night is to relax players and show them that Berky is a safe place to develop on and off the field. Later in the week, the girls will share their own skits as a cabin at the ‘Around The World’ themed Closing Campfire.

Monday: Starting Soccer Training and Electives

Campers spent the morning on the soccer fields for a high energy training session. Afterwards, the girls were off to electives.

Cabin Cup

Campers chose to cool off in the lake, practice their archery skills, and more at afternoon electives before heading up to soccer. Later in the evening, athletes came together as bunkmates to compete for the one and only…Cabin Cup (Ahhhh!) in Berky’s first ever Dodgeball Tournament. Be sure to check out our pictures of all the craziness and fun that ensued.

Tuesday: Player Development at Berky

We’ve had beautiful weather so far this week! Players spent the morning on the soccer fields playing hard and learning new skills from our coaches. Afterwards, they were off to their electives.

Berky Tourney

After more soccer and electives, the campers put their game faces on and gathered at the fields in the evening and came together to compete in this week’s “Mario Kart” themed Berky Tournament. Check out photos of the teams and festivities using the link below!

Wednesday: Girls Soccer Training and (S’)more

Campers spent the morning at their electives which included archery, cooking, fishing, and more before they were off to another great training session.

Closing Campfire

Campers spent the afternoon having a blast in the lake, shooting some arrows at archery, and hanging on the fishing dock catching some fish before switching gears to develop on the field at their afternoon soccer session. Later in the evening, it was time for the “Around The World” closing campfire. Campers and staff alike were treated to skits, songs, and plenty of laughs as the girls stepped up on stage to preform… And s’mores were on the menu too! Delish!

Thursday: Final Training Sessions & Electives

It was an action packed morning to start off the final day of Session VII. The girls started off with a morning working, soccer session, and then had the chance to have fun at electives.

Soccer Camp Departure

After some fun at the waterfront, archery, and with our coaches up at the fields, it was time to say goodbyes. We’ll miss all of our campers but hope to see everyone again soon!

Bridge G

The girls spent Friday in-camp participating in some extra electives, and even had the chance to go offsite with our staff and see a movie due to weather in the area. Saturday was spent at Six Flags where the girls had an absolute blast.

Bridges are designed to connect sessions and give athletes recovery time after or between sessions to optimize peak performance, avoid overexertion, and bond with other campers. Read more about the development of our bridge program and how it’s helping future athletes succeed.

Would you like to offer your camper an extended stay? The Bridge Program includes a trip to Six Flags, sleep-in mornings, and a relaxed day at camp to have fun with new friends. You may add a Bridge on Arrival Day or by emailing office@berkshiresocceracademy.com as late as Wednesday, provided there is still availability.
