Sunday: Soccer Camp Arrival

Thank you to all of our Berky Families for making arrival day so smooth! Campers enjoyed playing some games on the rec deck with their counselors and new friends to start out the day.

Opening Campfire

Campers cooled off in the lake this afternoon and participated in some other electives before it was time to head up to soccer for a great training session with their coaches. After dinner, it was time for the opening campfire. The staff shared a variety of skits and songs at the Opening Campfire. The goal of the night is to relax the campers and show them that Berky is a safe place to develop on and off the field. Later in the week, the girls will share their own contributions as a cabin at the “Retro Disco” themed Closing Campfire.

Monday: Starting Soccer Training and Electives

Campers lucked out with the weather this morning and had the opportunity to train hard up at the fields before it was time to switch gears and have fun at morning electives.

Cabin Cup

Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t the greatest this afternoon. Thankfully, we have our new covered turd and campers still had a great soccer training session in the fieldhouse. Campers also participated in afternoon electives indoors due to weather. Later in the evening, it was time for campers to come together as bunkmates to compete for the one and only…Cabin Cup (ahhhh! ) . Due to weather, they participated in different activities underneath the fieldhouse.

Tuesday: Player Development at Berky

Campers developed both on and off the field this morning. Campers started at the fields for a successful training session. Next, it was time for electives which included swimming, cooking, playing games on the rec deck, and more.

Berky Tourney

Campers put their game faces on and gathered at the fields in the evening and came together to compete in this week’s “Battle of the Bands” themed Berky Tournament. Check out photos of the teams and festivities using the link below!

Wednesday: Girls Soccer Training and (S’)more

It was another beautiful morning here at BSA! Campers spent some time on the fields with our coaches before switching gears to participate in electives.

Closing Campfire

Once afternoon soccer and electives were finished, to close out the evening, campers stepped on stage and performed together at tonight’s ‘Retro Disco’ Themed Closing Campfire. Campers and staff alike were treated to skits, songs, and plenty of laughs… And s’mores were on the menu too! Delish!

Thursday: Final Training Sessions & Electives

Each cabin met at the Moose for pictures in the morning before it was time for another great soccer training session with our coaches, and morning electives.

Soccer Camp Departure

After some fun at the final electives and fun with our coaches up at the fields, it was time to say goodbyes. We’ll miss all of our campers but hope to see everyone again next summer!

Bridge B

This week, the girls went on a trip to Lake Compounce which is an amusement/water park. They had a blast. Campers also spent time in camp having extended waterfront time, and a chance to participate in some more electives.

Bridges are designed to connect sessions and give athletes recovery time after or between sessions to optimize peak performance, avoid overexertion, and bond with other campers. Read more about the development of our bridge program and how it’s helping future athletes succeed.

Bridge Availability

Would you like to offer your camper an extended stay? The Bridge Program includes a trip to Lake Compounce, in-camp activities, and a relaxed day at camp to have fun with new friends. You may add a Bridge on Arrival Day or by emailing as late as Wednesday, provided there is still availability.
