Meet Your 2024 Cabin Counselors

Our Cabin Counselors impact Berky campers beyond the soccer field and the activity areas.

Each cabin of 8-12 campers typically houses one Assistant Soccer Coach and one Elective Staff member, this gives the girls the opportunity to build relationships and bond with both soccer and elective staff members. Our newly redesigned Cabin Mewis, houses 15 players with 3 Cabin Counselors. Our cabin counselors work together to supervise and support their campers. They are important mentors and positive role models, promoting friendships and fun and encouraging positive group interactions and cohesion. They also ensure campers keep the cabins organized during daily cabin clean-up. All cabin counselors are 18 years or older.

Our Res Life Team oversees all aspects of cabin life and camper well-being. They work alongside our health staff and cabin counselors to ensure that campers feel safe, supported and have fun during their time at Berky.

2024 Res Life Leaders & Cabin Counselors

Res Life Group Courage

Hannah is from Glasgow, Scotland, and is the Res Life Leader for Courage this summer. She holds a BSC in Operating Department Practice from the University of the West of Scotland.

Fun Facts: Hannah was a professional hula hooper, won a gold medal in highland dancing in front of 9the know) King Charles and is a BIG Taylor Swift fan!

Courage Cabin Counselors

Ellie is from Brighton, England, and is a Lifeguard/Cabin Counselor. She is currently studying Graphic Design at the University of Portsmouth.

Fun Facts: Ellie has two cats, an older brother, and she enjoys drawing in her free time.

Amber is from Essex, England, and is an Assistant Soccer Coach/Cabin Counselor. She currently attends Oxford Brookes where she is a member of the women’s soccer team,

Fun Facts: Amber is a certified ear piercer. She supports West Ham, and she loves bananas.

Amy is from Newton-le-Willows, England, and is a Lifeguard/Cabin Counselor. She is currently studying History and Politics at the University of Stirling.

Fun Facts: Amy does yoga every day, her nails are always red and she saw Olivia Rodrigo in concert in May!

Kya is from Katy, TX, and is an Assistant Soccer Coach/Cabin Counselor. She will attend Doane University in the fall and be a part of the women’s soccer team.

Fun Facts: She loves to sing, she loves most things that are athletically challenging and she got a Houston Dash jersey signed by the whole team!

Kyla is from Kilamarnock, Scotland, and will be a General and Cabin Counselor this summer. She is currently studying Psychology at Caledonian University. After graduation, Kyla hopes to work as a Therapist.

Fun Facts: Kyla adores swimming and being in the water, she is also a spiritual guru and a gymnast who loves teaching gymnastics skills.

Juli is from Boston, MA, and is a General/Cabin Counselor. She just graduated from Fitchburg State with a degree in Communications and a minor in Technical Theatre.

Fun Facts: Juli is funny, kind, responsible, and trustworthy. She has previous experience working at camps!

Ella is a General Counselor and Cabin Counselor from St. Annes, England. She studied Sports Science, Coaching & Development at the University of South Wales. 

Fun Facts: Rosie was a counselor at BSA in 2022, she has double-jointed arms and 10 tattoos.

Maisey is from Northamptonshire, England. She will be an Assistant Coach/Cabin Counselor this summer. Currently, she attends the University of Derby, studying Sports Coaching and Development.

Fun Facts: Maisey supports Liverpool, she can do the worm and she has a flamingo tattoo on her ankle.

Res Life Group Dash

Ainslie is from Girvan, Scotland and will be the Res Life Leader for Spirit this summer. She graduated in 2021 from Abertay University in Scotland with a degree in Sports and Exercise Science.

Fun Facts: She has climbed to Annapurna base camp in Nepal and has donated over 3 feet of her hair.

Dash Cabin Counselors

Kelly is from San Diego, CA, and is a Cooking Instructor/Cabin Counselor. She recently graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Food & Nutrition. 

Fun Facts: Kelly has performed in Disneyland parades, she loves food from around the world and will pet ANY dog!

Emma is from Northampton, England, and is an Assistant Soccer Coach/Cabin Counselor. She has a BA in policing. 

Fun Facts: Emma supports Liverpool, she has been playing soccer since she was 8 years old and she has a dog named Bobby.

Danielle is from Wakefield, MA, and is a General/Cabin Counselor. She currently studies Food Science and Technology at The Ohio State University. 

Fun Facts: Danielle is a figure skater, she loves cheese and her favorite song is American Pie.

Saša is from Prague, Czech Republic, and is an Assistant Coach/Cabin Counselor this summer. She will take a gap year to play abroad and attend the University of Vermont in the fall of 2025.

Fun Facts: Saša can juggle with both her hands and her feet. She saw the Spice Girls in Scotland. Saša’s roommate went on a semester abroad so she got a pet fish and named it after her. 

Lis is from Roses, Catalonia, Spain, and will be an Assistant Coach and Cabin Counselor this summer. She attends the University of Barcelona and is studying Sports Science.

Fun Facts: Lis grew up playing four different sports; dance, soccer, beach volleyball, and track and field. She can speak four languages and her favorite soccer team is Barcelona! 

Jodie is from West Yorkshire, England, and works as a General/Cabin Counselor. She has an MA in Sociology, Culture, and Media from the University of Leeds.

Fun Facts: Jodie was born on a leap year. She competed in archery for the University of Leeds, and she has two dogs that she absolutely adores.

Res Life Group Spirit

Lily is from Cumbria, England and is the Res Life Leader for Dash this summer. She attended Lancaster University and holds a LLM in International History. She also attended University of Leeds and holds a BA in International History and Politics.

Fun Facts: She has preformed in 4 Christmas Pantomimes, most recently as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. Her favorite animal is an Okapi.

Spirit Cabin Counselors

Ari is from Torquay, Australia, and is a Lifeguard/Cabin Counselor this summer. She attends Monash University and is studying Nursing.

Fun Facts: She speaks Indonesian, her favorite color is green, and she attended the Women’s World Cup in Australia.

Mare is from Ghana and will be an Assistant Coach/Cabin Counselor this summer. She is entering her senior year at Taft School and plans to play D1 soccer in college.

Fun Facts: Mare loves playing instruments. She is outgoing and also enjoys playing ping pong.

Queenie is from Takoradi, Ghana, and attends the Berkshire School. She plans to play D1 college soccer and study Sports Management. 

Fun Facts: Queenie loves dancing and listening to music; K-Pop and Afrobeats! She loves sports, can speak 5 languages, and wants to learn more. 

Megan is from Whitinsville, MA, and will be a Lifeguard/Cabin Counselor this summer. She is currently studying Nursing at the University of New Hampshire.

Fun Facts: Megan was a competitive dancer for 13 years. She has driven from Massachusetts to Seattle, Washington, and she played soccer for four years.

Robyn is from Ayr, Scotland, and is an Assistant Coach and Cabin Counselor. She received a degree in Sports Coaching from the University of the West of Scotland. 

Fun Fact: Robyn plays the guitar, she is under 5 feet tall, and she is double-jointed.

Martina is from Mallorca, Spain, and is a Cooking Instructor/Cabin Counselor. She is studying Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Barcelona.

Fun Facts: Martina loves learning new languages, she used to be a cheerleader and play volleyball. Her favorite season is summer!

Ellena is from Albany,  NY, and is an Assistant Soccer Coach/Cabin Counselor. She is currently studying Accounting, Political Science & Economics at Endicott College. She is a member of the Endicott Women’s Soccer team.

Fun Facts: Ellena is ambidextrous, she has lived in Colorado, Kansas and New York. She knows all 50 states and capitals.

Penelope is from Exeter, England, and is an Arts and Crafts/Cabin Counselor. She is studying Health and Exercise Science at the University of Bath.

Fun Facts: Penelope works making pizzas, she has traveled to 10 countries in Europe and she likes swimming and paddleboarding.

Res Life Group Reign

Ellie is from Barnsley, Yorkshire, England. This summer she is the Res Life Leader for Reign. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Social Sciences and a QTS Masters from the University of Bolton in England. Previously, Ellie attended the University of Huddersfield and received a BA in Psychology and Sociology. 

Fun Facts: Ellie worked at Starbucks, she has an identical twin sister and has met Princess Anne and Bear Grylls.

Reign Cabin Counselors

Millie is from Warrnambool, Australia, and is a Lifeguard and Cabin Counselor. She is currently in a gap year but plans to study Physiotherapy at Le Trobe University next year. 

Fun Facts: Millie has two dogs; a mini dachshund and a golden retriever. She has traveled around Australia in her caravan and she played netball for 10+ years. 

Sophia is from Toronto, Ontario, and will be a General and Cabin Counselor this summer. She is pursuing a double major in Psychology and Media Studies at the University of Western Ontario.

Fun Facts: Sophia has been to Disney over 20 times, she has a dog named Oakley and she saw Taylor Swift in Paris!

Maisie is from Derby, England, and will be an Assistant Soccer Coach/Cabin Counselor. She is currently studying Business at the University of Stirling.

Fun Facts: Maisie witnessed England’s victory in the Women’s Euro Cup at Wembley Stadium. She is a fan of Aston Villa, and she earned her level 8 in singing and musical theatre.

Heidi is from Port Jefferson, NY and will oversee the waterfront as our Lead Guard. She currently attends UMass Amherst where she studies Marketing and Psychology.

Fun Facts: Heidi was a camper at BSA for three years, she can speak Pig Latin and is a D1 rower at UMass. 

Cam is from Monterrey, Mexico, and is an Assistant Coach/Cabin Counselor. She is a double major in Law and International Relations at Tec de Monterrey. 

Fun Facts: Cam plays college soccer. She lived in Ireland and was a national champion in track and field.

Erin is from South Wales and will be an Assistant Soccer Coach and Cabin Counselor this summer. She is currently studying Health and Exercise Science at the University of Bath.

Fun Facts: Erin is a Liverpool fan, she can speak Welsh and she loves swimming and paddleboarding. 

Ellie is from Kirkconnel, Dumfriesshire, Scotland, and will be a General/Cabin Counselor. She is currently studying Interior Architecture and Design at Glasgow City College. 

Fun Facts: Ellie played soccer for 7 years. She has a hamster named Squeak and knows way too many memes.

Res Life Group Thorns

Ffion hails from Chester in Cheshire, England, and will be in charge of the Res Life Group Thorns. Ffion attended Liverpool John Moores University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and a Master’s Degree in Journalism. 

Fun Facts: She can label every US state on the map with no outlines, and has completed her Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Queen Elizabeth was in the next room when Ffion received her award.

Thorns Cabin Counselors

Paige is from Santa Cruz, CA, and is a Lifeguard and Cabin Counselor. She attends Seattle University and is studying Humanities for Teaching and Spanish.

Fun Facts: Paige likes to hike, she was a BSA camper for 6 years and she has met a capybara!

Jordan is a member of the women’s soccer team at Lawrence University, where she is pursuing a degree in Business with a concentration in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. From Boynton Beach, FL, Jordan will be working as an Assistant Coach/Cabin Counselor this summer.

Fun Facts: Jordan worked at Chick-fil-A for 4 years. She also plays college soccer and is training to become a certified yoga instructor.

Natalie is from Buffalo, NY, and is an Assistant Coach/Cabin Counselor. She plays soccer at Houghton College and is studying Sports Management.

Fun Facts: Natalie’s favorite movie is The Lorax, she has 5 siblings, and is scared of belly buttons.

Raina is studying nutrition at Southern Utah University. She grew up in Cave Creek Arizona and will be a Cooking Instructor/Cabin Counselor this summer. 

Fun Facts: Raina played soccer for five years. She loves going to concerts and enjoys watching Bluey.

Abby is from Dartmoor National Park, Devon, England, and will return for her second year as a Cooking Instructor/Cabin Counselor. She holds a BSC in Psychology from the University of Plymouth.

Fun Facts: She is afraid of kangaroos, owns a rescue cat named Stanley, and is a huge fan of F1 racing.

Andrea is from Panama City, Panama, and is an Assistant Coach/Cabin Counselor. She is currently a member of the women’s soccer team at Davis & Elkins College studying Psychology.

Fun Facts: Andrea played for the Panama national team, she was a word search champion in 4th grade in her high school and she LOVES traveling the world.
