Head Coaches

Head Coaches spend the entire summer at BSA. They have at least one summer of Berky experience or have other extensive coaching experience. They are committed to honing their craft and maintaining continuity on the field and traditions off of it.

Michael Branker

Mike is the Director of Player Development at the Plainview Old Bethpage (NY) Soccer Club. He has more than twelve years of coaching experience. He also owns Alliance Athletics Inc, which provides private soccer training and runs youth camps. Mike holds his USC Advanced National Diploma, USC Director of Coaching Diploma, US Youth National Youth License, and NASM Certification. He is a 2008 graduate of Bucknell University, where he played four years of club soccer. Mike returns for his 3rd summer as a Master Coach.

Emily Ober

Emily is an Assistant Coach at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA. She is also working on her D coaching license and is also coaching U10 and U12 girls at club TYSA which is located in Tucker, GA. Prior to joining the coaching staff at Oglethorpe, Emily spent time as an assistant coach at Young Harris College (“YHC”) in Georgia and as an Assistant Coach at Richard Bland College in Petersburg, Virginia. She also spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Louisiana Monroe (D-I) (“ULM”) where she earned a master’s degree in exercise science, focusing on sports management. Emily played semi-professional soccer in the WPSL for Peachtree City MOBA in 2018 and for the Orlando Kicks in 2017. She played for 4 years at YHC, where she scored 19 goals, including 5 game-winners. 2022 will be Emily’s second summer at the Academy.

Leo Germiniani

A native of Brazil, Leo played professionally in Brazil and collegiately at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. He currently coaches for the Connecticut Football Club (CFC) and owns LGSoccerFit, a supplemental training company for female players. Leo has coached at the youth, collegiate, and professional levels and holds a USSF D and Goalkeeping Level II license. Coach Leo will join us in 2022 for his second summer as a Master Coach.

Vanessa Fyfee

Vanessa Fyfee

Vanessa is currently the Associate Head Coach at Tusculum University in Greenville, Tennessee, her alma mater, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in sport management with a minor in coaching and had a successful playing career as a goalkeeper. She compiled a 9-6-1 record with a 1.18 goals-against average in 17 starts. Her career goals-against average ranks as the eighth-best in program history. Before joining the Tusculum staff, Vanessa spent three years as an assistant coach at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and two years as an assistant coach at the University of Louisiana Monroe. She received a United Soccer Coaches National Diploma in 2017. She also has regional and state goaltending diplomas. Vanessa returns to Berky in 2022 for her second summer as a Master Coach.

Amanda Evans

Amanda Evans

Amanda, who has over 12 years of college coaching experience, is currently the Head Women’s soccer coach at Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, Virginia. Amanda played at Hawaii Pacific University and had semi-pro training in Utah. She holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Utah and a Master of Science in Special Education from Western Governors University in Utah. 2022 will be Amanda’s first summer at Berky.

Deanna Hecht

Deanna Hecht

Deanna is the Assistant Coach at Illinois College. Prior to joining IC, Deanna spent two years as an Assistant Coach at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois. Deana has her BA in Psychology from Purdue University, where she played for 4 years on the women’s soccer team. 2022 will be Deanna’s first year at Berky.

Marlon Montanella

Marlon Montanella

Marlon, a former French professional soccer player, is the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at the University of Bridgeport (CT) and is also MLS Next Coach at Beachside (CT) Soccer Club. Marlon is a graduate of Young Harris College in Georgia, where he was part of a program that captured two Peach Belt Conference tournament titles and won an NCAA Southeast Regional Championship. In 2017, he earned First Team All-ECC and Third Team All-East Region honors. Marlon holds a USSF D License. 2022 will be his first summer at Berky.

Jayme Halsey

Jayme is the Director of Coaching for the Fort Collins Soccer Club/Arsenal Colorado. Jayme has over 23 years of coaching experience at the youth, ODP, and collegiate levels. She holds her NSCAA Premier Diploma, USSF B License, USSF National Youth License, NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma Certificate. Summer 2021 was her first with Berky as a Master Coach.

Salma Tarik

Salma Tarik

Salma, a former midfielder for the Egyptian Women's National Football Team, has played in multiple international matches, World Cup Qualifiers, and in the African Cup of Nations Tournament.  Salma currently coaches youth soccer on Long Island (NY) and works as a Director for Special Olympics - New York. Salma graduated from Hofstra University in 2012 with a BS in Education and later earned a Master's in Human Resources from Mercy College. She is the third-leading scorer in the history of Hofstra women’s soccer. 2022 will be Salma's second summer at Berky.

Stephanie Schafer

Stephanie Schafer is the current head women's soccer coach at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts. She has coached WPI through seven winning seasons and NEWMAC tournament appearances as well as receiving 2016 NSCAA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year and 2016 NEWMAC Coach of the Year accolades. Schafer also spent five seasons with the Boston Breakers serving as the Senior Team Coordinator, Equipment Manager, Team Manager, and Director of Operations. A native of the Philadelphia area, Riley-Schafer played collegiately at Division I Temple University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in sports and recreation management with a minor in business. In 2013, she graduated from Wagner with her master's in secondary education. 2021 was Stephanie's first summer as a Master Coach at BSA.

Dirk Bennett

Dirk joined the Eastern Illinois University women’s soccer coaching staff in July 2019 after serving as a volunteer assistant for both the men’s and women’s programs from 2015-2018. Dirk is a former Executive Director of the Eastern Illinois Soccer Club. He holds an NSCAA Premier Diploma and Goalkeeping Level 1 License and has a USSF C coaching licenses. He holds Bachelor's and Master’s Degrees from EIU. 2021 was Dirk’s 1st summer at BSA.

Tasha Flynn

Tasha is the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. Prior to LMU, she served as head coach at both Hannibal LaGrange University (Mo.) and Central Baptist College (Ark.). She also served as the head coach of the WPSL Little Rock Rangers (Ark.) from 2015-17 and as a graduate assistant at Central Arkansas. 2021 was her first summer at Berky.

Becca Madison

Becca is in her second year as head coach at Ohio Wesleyan University, her alma mater. Becca served as an assistant coach there from 2016-2018. She also served as an assistant coach at Rhodes College in 2015 and spent two years as a graduate assistant coach at Smith College, where she earned her master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Studies. In addition to collegiate experience, Becca has spent time at the club level coaching U-11 through U-15 age groups. Becca graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. While at OWU, she was a two-year captain, three-time All-Conference player, and Team MVP. She was also named to the North Coast Athletic Conference All-Decade Team. Becca spent two years working full-time for the Berkshire Soccer Academy and coached at BSA from 2013 to 2016.

Vicky Conde

From Madrid, Spain, Vicky returned to BSA in 2018 for her fourth year and her first as a Master Coach after serving for two years as a Head Coach. Vicky graduated from Southern Connecticut University with a Major in exercise science, earning All-New England Honoree and All-Northeast-10 Conference selection in her two seasons with the Owls.

Molly Stone

Molly played four years of Division I collegiate soccer at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Molly captained her team during her Junior and Senior years and was a three-time First Team All-Conference player. She was also invited to train at the Canadian National Training Center, Most recently, she played for the Victoria Highlanders W-league team. 2019 was Molly’s third summer at BSA.

Chelsea Spencer

Chelsea was a high-impact player at the club level in Canada, and was also a member of both the Ontario Provincial, and Canadian National programs for 4 years. From 2007 to 2009, she played for the University of Louisville (NCAA Division 1) on a full scholarship, and from 2009 to 2011, she played for Niagara University (NCAA Division 1), again on a full scholarship, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in French. After graduation, Chelsea played semi-professionally in both Canada (W-League) and in England (FA Women’s Premier League). In 2012, after retiring from playing, she began coaching club soccer (Oakville Soccer Club). She currently holds a C License through the Canadian Soccer Association, and a National F License through the United States Soccer Federation.

Katie Collar

Katie served as our Soccer Director and Resident Master Coach during summer 2018. Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Katie played collegiately as a Midfielder for 4 years at Eastern Kentucky University. After graduation, she served as an Assistant Coach at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, before becoming an integral part of the coaching team for the Excel program in Nova Scotia at both a Regional and Provincial Level.

Lori Lindsey

Lori's highly successful professional and international career spanned 13 years. She attended the University of Virginia, where she was a standout player winning Conference Player of the Year 2 years running, joining Mia Hamm as the only player to receive that distinction. Lori was drafted 4th overall by the San Diego Spirit of the Women’s United Soccer Association. Lori made 31 appearances for the US Women’s National Team, which included representing her country at the 2011 World Cup and the 2012 Olympic Games. Currently, Lori serves as Strength & Conditioning Coach for the NWSL’s Washington Spirit and coaches at the US Soccer Fantasy Camps. 2019 was Lori’s second summer as a Master Coach.

Gary Lawson

Gary is the head women’s coach at St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn, NY. He began playing at a young age in Buckinghamshire, England and continued through his collegiate years at Aylesbury United FC and Buckinghamshire Chilterns University. Gary began coaching in England and eventually traveled to the US to join Ashley’s Soccer Camp and Soccer Domain Academy where he coached various travel teams, academies and camps. He is currently the Athletic Director at Nord Anglia International School of New York. Gary holds an Advanced National Diploma, a National Diploma and a Goalkeeping Level One Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and holds a United States Soccer Federation “F” Coaching License. He was a Master Coach in 2018.

Gabriella Perales

Gabriella is in her third year as the Assistant Coach for the Women’s program at her alma mater, Texas Southern University, and also coaches for the Total Football club in Houston, Texas. Gabriella played 4 years at TSU. Her team’s made the Conference Tournament in all 4 years, and was twice named SWAC Player of the week and her team’s Offensive MVP. Gabriella has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. 2018 was her second year as a master coach.

Jenny Ruiz

Jennifer is Mexican-American soccer player who debuted for Mexico in 2003 and represented her country in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. Jennifer previously won a Mountain West Conference championship while attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she was an All-MWC First-Team selection.

Patrick Greene

Patrick Greene has been the Girls Director of Coaching at the Manhattan Soccer Club (MSC) since 2000. He also created the Youth Academy at MSC with former BSA director Liza Wittenberg. Patrick holds a plethora of coaching certificates including a NSCAA Director of Coaching diploma, NSCAA Premier Diploma, USSF/USYSA National Youth License, and USSF C License which is working on updating to a B license this fall. He is on the NPL Advisory Committee and has coached the Trinity Girls Varsity squad.

Sean McMannis

Sean is currently the Technical Director at Northbay Elite Futbol Club and former Head Soccer Coach at Holy Names University. From 2011 – 2014, Sean served as head women’s soccer coach at Bethany College KS and was voted the 2013 KCAC Women’s Coach of the Year. Sean has also been the head girls’ soccer coach at Maranatha High School and coached club soccer with the Crescenta Valley Soccer Club. Sean played collegiately at The Master’s College, winning a national title in 2001. Sean holds an NSCAA National Diploma and a USSF “C” License in coaching as well as a Master’s degree in Coaching & Athletic Administration from Concordia University. Sean coached at BSA from 2015 to 2017.

Terryn Soelberg

Terryn is an assistant coach for Santa Ana College. She has also coached at Bakersfield College and at the youth level with South Valley Thunder U12 Girls Soccer Club. She played her first college soccer at Bakersfield College, where she led her team and her conference in goals. She went on to play for BYU-Hawaii where she was named All-Conference three years, was captain for two, and was selected as a PAC West Fantastic 15 Player. She graduated with her B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science and plans on getting her masters in the same field. Terryn has a USSF “D” coaching license. 2018 was Terryn’s fifth summer at BSA.

Sarah Dwyer-Shick

Sarah is the Division Head Coach for Eastern NY Girls North ODP and works with clubs from the AYSO to Premier level. She spent more than ten years coaching at the collegiate level during which time she worked as a head or assistant coach at each of the three NCAA divisions. She has also worked with the World of Football Summer School in both Austria and Brazil and has taken the Eastern New York state team to the Agropoli Cup in Italy. She received her undergraduate degree from Smith College and her Master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Denver. She holds the USSF Youth License, NSCAA Advanced National & Advanced National Goalkeeping Diplomas, and has been certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the NSCA since 2001. Sarah worked at BSA in 2014 and 2015.

Evan Luster

Evan completed his undergraduate degree at Franklin Pierce College in 2006, while studying Elementary Education. He also has two Master’s degrees, one in Athletic Administration and an MBA, all of which he completed while coaching men’s soccer at Springfield College. Evan has coached numerous youth soccer club teams in Connecticut and Massachusetts. He is currently the Director of Athletics and an Enrichment Teacher at Boston Preparatory Charter Public School in Boston, MA. Evan holds his NSCAA Advanced National coaching license, and he coached at BSA from 2014 to 2016.

Dena Floyd

Dena is from Raleigh, North Carolina. Dena coached Division I women’s soccer at NC State University. Her playing career included being a 4-years as a starter at the University of Florida and a stint in a semi-pro league. Most recently, Dena received her Masters degree at NC State in Leadership and Non-Profit Management. Dena coached at BSA in 2012, 2015, and 2017.

Aileen Ascolese

Aileen has been the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Alfred University since March 2013. She's served as an assistant coach at Brandeis University, Rensselaer Polytechnic and Elmira College. Aileen was a four-year starter at Division I Rider University, serving as team captain her senior year and twice earning NCAA scholar-athlete honors. She holds a USSF 'B' license and NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.

Kevon Isa

Kevon is the Head Women’s soccer coach at American International College in Springfield, MA. He has helped guide them to a 52-23-7 record over the past four years; with three NCAA tournament appearances and a trip to the national semifinals in 2013. He has over fourteen years of coaching experience at the club, collegiate, and state levels. He has a USSF B license and NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. He played Division II soccer at AIC and graduated with a B.A. in Marketing. Kevon played professionally on the Springfield Legends in the PSAL and the Massachusetts Twisters of the AISL. He was also a member of the Trinidad and Tobago U-17 and U-20 National Teams.

Maria Lubrano

Maria is a 3-time NCAA National Champion at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science. After winning the 2012 NCAA National Championship, Maria played professionally in Italy for Napoli Carpisa-Yamamay Calcio Femminile.

Diane Drake

Diane was the head coach of the George Mason University women’s soccer team from 2003 - 2014. Before that, she coached at Georgetown University and UNC Greensboro. Diane played at the University of Dayton in Ohio where she studied psychology, and then earned a masters in kinesiology from Louisiana State University. Diane holds a United States Soccer Federation “A” license, and an NSCAA Premiere Badge.

Sarah Strickland

Sarah is the Head Women’s Coach at Appalachian State in Boone, NC. She has many years of coaching experience at the club, collegiate and national levels. She is a United States Soccer Federation “B” licensed coach. She played Division I soccer at George Mason University, graduating with a B.A. in psychology.

Erica Lippitt

Erica played Division I soccer at Drexel University for 2 years, before finishing her education and college soccer career at the University of Northern Florida. She holds a Master's degree in Sport Psychology from Georgia Southern University, where she also works as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Women’s Soccer Team. She also has her USSF “C” license, and NSCAA Level III Goalkeeper Diploma.

Sarah Chapman

Sarah is the head women’s soccer coach at Averett University. She previously coached at Shattuck St. Mary’s in Faribault, MN and Stony Brook University. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2012. At UF, she played four years of Division I soccer. While in Florida, she served as the Assistant Director at the UF soccer camps and was the head coach of a U-15 girls club team in Gainesville. She spent four summers coaching at BSA, first as an Assistant Coach, then as a Head Coach, and spent two summers as a Master Coach.

Gabby Duchaussee

2022 will be Gabby’s 4th year at Berky and her second as a Head Coach. Gabby recently graduated from the City College of New York with a degree in English and Theater. Gabby played four years of Varsity Soccer, earning CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and All-Star awards in 2017-18 and 2019-20. Currently, Gabby is teaching kindergarten in Boston.

Hadyn Deleeuw

Hadyn returns to Berky for her second summer and first as a Head Coach. A senior neuroscience major at Monmouth College in Illinois, she played 15 games for the Fighting Scots this season. In 2019, she received Midwest Conference all-academic honors. Her 2020 season was canceled due to Covid. Haydn was an All-State player at Kirksville High School in Kirksville, Missouri, where she also helped coach the Boys Varsity team.

Lucy Clark

Lucy will be returning for her second summer at Berky, but this will be her first as a Head Coach. From Bristol, England, Lucy is currently a senior at Lewis University in Illinois, where she has been starting goalkeeper for the past three seasons, pursuing a degree in Business Administration.

Rafaela Passos

Rafaela Passos

2022 will be Rafaela’s first summer at Berky. Originally from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Rafa is a junior at Bethel University in Tennessee where she is a Defender on the women’s team. In 2021, Rafa earned Academic All-Conference honors.

Kaitlyn Jones

Kaitlyn joined us for her first summer at BSA as a head coach in 2021. She is currently a Senior at Westminster College, PA, where she played for the Varsity team for her first three years. Due to injury, Kaitlyn has spent her final year as a volunteer head coach for the team. In the fall Kaitlyn will join Xavier University Women's team as the Director of Player Analysis/Operations, while pursuing a Master’s in Coaching Education and Athlete Development. She also currently serves as a coach for the Cincinnati United club program.

Arshia "AJ" Jain

2019 was AJ’s fourth summer at BSA and her second as a Head Coach. She has played professionally in Qatar and on her university team in the United Kingdom. She has also coached high school and club soccer in Switzerland. AJ’s passion for the game of soccer is infectious.

Kate Ross

Kate, a 2018 graduate of Cambridge University (England) returned in 2019 for her third summer at BSA and her first as a Head Coach. At Cambridge, she played on her university soccer team. She also has extensive refereeing experience. Kate is currently studying for her Master's at the University of Liverpool.

Rachel Torrance

Rachel, a student of the University of Edinburgh in the UK, has spent her last three summers at BSA. She is currently studying towards her bachelors in Applied Sport Science, and playing soccer for the university team.

Laura Greb

Laura graduated from Western Carolina University in 2014. She started 18 games as a senior. Majoring in Health and Physical Education, she is originally from Robbinsville, NJ where she played for the Princeton Soccer Club, and helped lead Robbinsville HS to a New Jersey State Championship. She was named NSCAA HS All-Region and Trentonian Soccer Player of the Year in 2009. Laura is now a teacher and coach in Asheville, North Carolina.

Estafania Reyes

Estafania is from Alcala de Henares, Spain, and spent her first summer at BSA in 2018. Having played collegiately in Spain for 4 years, and on a Semi-Professional level, Estafania has spent the last 5 years focusing more on growing as a coach and helped develop a female academy in her home town.

Sonya Baumgardt

Sonya Baumgardt

A former camper, Sonya returns for her second summer as an Assistant Coach. Sonya played at a highly competitive youth level in her home state of Colorado. She is a sophomore at Notre Dame University where she continues to play recreational soccer and is pursuing a degree in politics and law.

Rachel Ferrier

Rachel Ferrier

Rachel will graduate this year with a nursing degree from Colby-Sawyer University in New Hampshire. Rachel saw substantial action in all 3 of her seasons with the Chargers. In 2019, she was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Academic team. 2022 will be Rachel’s first summer at Berky.

Dionne Igalawuye

Dionne Igalawuye

Dionne graduated with a degree in Sports Development and Coaching from Plymouth Marjon University in England, where she played for the University Team. Currently, Dionne is an active youth soccer coach, but in the fall she hopes to return home and start to train to be a PE teacher. 2022 will be Dionne’s first summer at Berky.

Marina Coso

Marina joins us from Madrid, Spain, for her 1st summer as an Assistant Coach. Marina has played high-level youth soccer for many years and has her eyes set on playing in college. She currently plays for the youth club of Rayo Vallecano, a Spanish professional football team based in Madrid.

Gia Rangel

Gia Rangel

This will be Gia’s second summer at Berky and her first on staff. Gia plays high-level Youth soccer in her home state of Illinois. Gia currently has her eyes set on playing college soccer, and she has several exciting options available.

Rosie Innes

Rosie Innes

Rosie joins Berky for her first year as an Assistant Coach. Rosie plays for Blackpool FC and is an experienced youth coach with her FA level 1 certificate. Rosie currently studies at the University of South Wales, where she is working towards a degree in Sports Coaching and development.

Ally Labick

This will be Ally’s 6th summer at camp and her first as a staff member. From Briarcliff, NY, Ally currently attends Syracuse University. She is studying Health and Exercise and plays club soccer.

Alex Sullivan

This will be Alex’s 7th summer at Berky and her first as a staff member. In addition to helping coach, Alex plays for Asphalt Green Soccer Club in New York City. She will graduate this year from the United Nations International School.

Ria Lee

Ria joins Berky for her first year as an Assistant Coach. Ria is from London and currently trains with Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club. She is also an experienced youth coach with her FA level 2 certificate, Ria is also a qualified referee for the Football Association (FA). She currently studies and New City College, where she is working towards a diploma in Sport Coaching.

Rosie Innes

Catherine Dickinson

Catherine joins the Berky team for her first summer as an Assistant coach. From Liverpool, England, Catherine currently studies Sports Recreation at LLS Online College. Catherine plays midfield for both Alder Womens, and Steven Gerard Academy and has extensive experience as a youth coach.

Bethany VanSant

Bethany plays soccer at Whitworth University (WA) where she is pursuing a degree in Nursing. Bethany earned first-team All-Wesco recognition as a senior at Stanwood High School and was a two-time team captain. 2021 was Bethany’s first summer as an Assistant Coach.

Jiajun, a former Berky Camper, will be joining the Suffolk University (Boston) soccer team as a freshman in the fall of 2021. Jiajun competed for Sturgis East High School in the Cape Cod - Islands Lighthouse League and was named to the league’s all-star team. 2021 was Jiajun’s first summer as an Assistant Coach.

Mikayla McCart

Mikayla, a sophomore sports marketing major at Monmouth College in Illinois, appeared in all but one of the Scots’ games during her freshman year. She closed out the season by scoring the winning, shootout goal in overtime at the Midwest Conference Championship, advancing her team to the NCAA Division III championship. Her 2020 season was canceled due to Covid. Originally from Council Bluffs Iowa, Mikayla has been playing competitively from a young age and has coached for her high school team during the summers. 2021 was Mikayla’s first at Berky.

Bobs spent 2018 and 2019 at BSA as an Assistant Coach. She studied at Manchester Metropolitan University in England and played for her school’s team.

Alisha was an Assistant Coach in 2019. Alisha has extensive experience coaching youth teams. She has an FA level 1 certificate. Alisha played three years of semi-professional soccer for Newcastle United Women’s team joining the Hartlepool Women’s team in 2019.

Skyler, a Sophomore at Coker College in South Carolina, completed her first season of women’s soccer in 2018. Skyler is a multi sport athlete with a keen interest in Cross Country. Skyler was a three year captain of her High School Varsity soccer team. 2019 was her first summer at BSA

Lauren returned to BSA in 2019 for her first year as an Assistant Coach after spending two years as a camper. Lauren currently attends the University of Hartford as and Engineering student and is an active member of her schools’ club soccer team.

Kate Zander

Kate graduated in 2019 from Lincoln Memorial University (TN). She started for the Lady Railsplitters in 2016 and 2017, but missed the 2018 season due to injury. She also participated as a sprinter on the Track & Field team and served as Assistant Varsity Soccer Coach for the J. Frank White Academy, a private school located on the Lincoln Memorial Campus. 2019 was Kate’s first summer at BSA.

Hannah plays at the highest level in Northern Ireland, for the Sion Swifts Ladies. She coached at BSA in 2016 and 2017.

Cassandra is a Sophomore at Wofford College in South Carolina. A Three-year letterman at Dorman High School, Cassandra helped team to a State Quarterfinal finish in 2015 as Team Captain.

Martha played soccer and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In 2015, she was named to the All-American Second Team and was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Year. She added an NSCAA All-Central Region First Team selection and was tabbed as a member of the All-NCCSIA First Team.

Nicole Fowler

Nicole was a 4-year starter for the Springfield College Pride women’s soccer team. In 2015, her junior season, she served as a tri-captain under Coach John Gibson, starting all 21 games and scoring 10 goals. The National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) honored Nicole with their 2015 All-American Athlete Award. Nicole helped lead Springfield College to 3-straight NEWMAC Conference Championships.

Allie Rooney

Allie played four years of varsity soccer at Smith College, where she is majored in economics and minored in exercise and sport sciences. As a freshman at Smith, she led her team in goals scored and total points. She has since transitioned to the center back position and her team made it to the conference quarterfinals in 2015 while allowing one goal or less in 12 of their 18 games. She is originally from Ludlow, MA where she played for Cathedral High School and helped lead the team to a Western Mass Division I Championship game. She captained her high school team for two years and was named an All-League and All-Western Mass player her junior and senior year.

Charlotte Pearsall

Charlotte played soccer at East Carolina University, where she graduated from the Honors College with a major in sports management. Named team captain and an all-state selection during her junior and senior years of high school, Charlotte also received all-region and all-conference recognition each season and was the team’s top scorer during each campaign. She possesses a United States Soccer Federation `E’ Coaching License and is currently pursuing her D license. She has traveled to Nicaragua to coach teams as well as coaching in her hometown of Wilmington, NC and in Greenville, NC.

Sarah Glowa

Sarah graduated from SUNY Oneonta in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. She played four years of collegiate soccer and was captain her senior year. She began her career as a center back and ended it as a striker. Sarah was named to the Mayor’s Cup All-Tournament team and the SUNYAC All-Academic Team for her senior season.

Rachel Gutowski

Rachel is currently the assistant women’s soccer coach at Marietta College in Ohio. She graduated from Wilmington College with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, where she was a four-time all-conference defender. In each of her final three seasons there, she earned All-Ohio honors. Rachel has coached youth soccer for many years and has done internships with Fast Twitch Performance Enhancement & with Cross-Fit. She is currently pursuing her coaching career and hopes to be a college head coach one day. 2015 was her first summer at BSA.

Georgia played four years at Gettysburg College. She helped lead her 2015 team to a 12-3-3 record, losing in the Semis at Conferences. In Spring 2015, Georgia studied abroad in Cape Town, South Africa, where she was involved in an extensive research program on Grassroots Soccer, which helps children learn about HIV awareness and other life skills through soccer.

Jessica graduated from Wesleyan University in CT, majoring in History and Hispanic Literatures and Cultures. A two-time All-County player at Monument Mountain Regional, Jessica captained her high school team in her senior year and was also a starter and captain for Blackwatch FC NY and Westenhook United. She helped in the business startup process for The Fieldhouse, Canaan, NY, and has been involved in program development, coaching, and training there ever since.

A graduate of Geneseo State University, Alexa holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Mathematics. Originally from Mineola, NY she attended school in Geneseo and played four years of college soccer as a Geneseo Knight—her first two years as a center back and the last two as an attacking center mid. She was the captain during her senior season and trained with the Croatian national team during the UEFA Euro Cup Qualifiers.

Rachel majored in Psychology at Yale. She was captain of her high school soccer team and was awarded Alabama Player of the Year and MVP her junior year. In her freshman year at Yale, she was awarded the Rookie of the Week award, played every minute of seven Ivy League games in goal where she was third in the Ivy League in save percentage (.814) and saves per game (4.07), and received the Captain’s Cup award, given She's played for Alabama FC in the WPSL, been named to the All-South team, and was Goalkeeper of the Year for her region.

In 2014, she graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Interdisciplinary Natural Sciences and Bio-medical Physics. At USF, she played 4 years of Division I soccer as a goalkeeper and spent her free time coaching youth soccer players.

Ashley was the Assistant Coach at Park University in Missouri. Previously, she served as the assistant coach at Emporia State University, where she earned her Master’s degree. She attended and played for Park University during her undergrad career. Ashley spent some time coaching youth soccer after college, and then was recruited to play for Kansas City’s new semi-professional team, The Kansas City Shock, where she started at forward in their first season. Ashley also played professionally in Greece for Glyfada Women’s Futbol Club. After returning to the states, she worked for the NSCAA before starting graduate school.
