Champions Are Made in the Off-Season

Each August, the Berkshire Soccer Academy has the privilege of partnering with some remarkable collegiate, club, and high school teams. Looking to get a head start on season-long success, these teams choose to work with us to realize their vision for a productive and enriching pre-season training camp.

Hosted at our training facilities, BSA’s dedicated camp professionals are available to help operate a comprehensive retreat experience customized to the needs of players and coaches. The pre-season programming that we facilitate accelerates the team’s cohesion and camaraderie. Athletes leave the Berkshires feeling as though they’re already well into the fall season.

We wanted to take this opportunity to give a big Clap, Clap, Whoosh to some of these teams to celebrate this season’s successes!

Holy Cross

The Holy Cross women’s soccer team got a head start on their fall season with pre-season training during their third summer with us. Boasting the school’s most league wins since 2002, the Crusaders just missed out on a playoff spot in the Patriot League tournament because of tie-breaking matches, but three players, junior Carly Flahive and seniors Ang Seslija and Caroline Wallace, have subsequently been named to the All-Patriot League teams.

South Shore Select

For their third summer, South Shore brought 10 of their teams for a weekend-long pre-season club event, totaling 146 players and 11 coaches. Working with our staff, South Shore leadership made sure that, in addition to their training, athletes got a taste of our traditional elective programming and Berky-styled evening events, turning the weekend into a fun and performance-accelerating experience.

Trinity School Varsity Boys Team

The Trinity School boys soccer team won their second consecutive NAYSAIS State Championship for the State of New York. They finished with an undefeated record of 18 wins and one tie, defeating UNIS in the state final. The team also won their first Ivy Prep League outright title in over 30 years, overtaking Riverdale. The last 2 seasons, Trinity has 34 wins, 4 losses and 1 tie, setting school records for victories in each. Head Coach Jesse Brown shared the following thoughts on their experience at BSA.

Grace Church School

The Grace Church boys varsity soccer team outperformed their previous season this year and made the play-offs, advancing to the ACIS League semi-finals. However, the boys were not the only Grace Church team to kick off their pre-season at the Berkshire Soccer Academy. They were joined by the girls soccer, the girls volleyball, and the co-ed cross country programs.

Athletic Director Tim Quinn commented, “Grace Athletics is proud to have a partnership with the Berkshire Soccer Academy. The last two pre-seasons, our fall sports program has spent a week at the academy and it has proven to be a big part of our season… Paul and his staff are so accommodating to our players and coaches. We hope to continue our relationship for years to come.”
